Chamois

Chamois is a charming little ski resort located high above the Aosta Valley on the way to Cervinia. The ski lifts in Chamois may be old and a bit slow, but if that's a problem, you've missed the point of visiting Chamois. Chamois is Italy's only car-free village and is connected to the rest of the world by a cable car from Buisson. Three chairlifts take you from the village at 1800 - 2500m. The ski area is a large south-facing bowl, but from the top, there is also a legendary off-piste run down towards Valtourenche that you don't want to miss.
